Laundry and Care of Athletic UniformsWhen to Launder:All athletic uniforms should be laundered in warm or cool water before wearing. It is important to launder uniforms immediately after each wearing. Damp garments left in a pile will tend to fade due to chemical reactions with perspiration. Inspect garments for damage such as equipment cuts and tears. Repairs should be made prior to washing to prevent further damage. DO NOT DRY CLEAN any athletic uniforms. Remove all contract color items and wash separately. Never mix other garments or products of the same e color of a different material in the same wash. Prior to Laundering:Before washing athletic products with printing, turn inside out for best result. This will prevent abuse to the vinyl plastisol lettering. All garments should be washing in warm or cool water (100 degrees F or less). Rinse water temperature should be about the same as the was temperature. Be sure to separate white and colored garments and wash separately. Use only mild detergents (PH under 10.0). Use a high water level to hold down mechanical action. Do not overload the washing machine. Do not use fabric softener for any reason. Using fabric softener will cause lettering separate from material. Remove garments IMMEDIATELY after washing to avoid color bleeding. If it is not possible to launder immediately after use, put uniforms (separate colors) in a container of water with a pre-soaking agent such as Biz or Wisk for a period not to exceed four hours before laundering . A presoaking agent could also be used to take stains out of garments. DO NOT USE BLEACH.This will fade colors and weaken materials. Never bleach any garment that contains, spandex or that has braid trims, tackle twill, embroidery or silk screen numbers, letters, or emblems,. Bleaching breaks down the dye stuffs of the plastiol inks causing cracking of the numbers. DRYING:It is best to hang garments to drip dry, especially garments containing spandex. If a tumble dryer is used, use only the lowest temperature setting or "air only" setting. Excessive heat will take the elasticity out of the silk screened numbering process and cause cracking. Overheating causes peeling/breakdown of fiber in cloth, shrinkage, uneven shape of garments (torque_ shrinkage of rib knit and braid. CARE:Please remember that uniforms are made up of materials that can be ripped, cut, torn and abused. Keep this in mind when damage is done to a uniform. You may have to recondition uniforms as you do with hard gear products.
